The 19th Amendment
The amendment was passed in 1920. The 19th amendment guaranteed all American women the right to vote. At the time, women didn’t share all the same rights as men. In 1848, there was a movement for women’s rights launched on a national level with a convention in Seneca Falls, New York, and Lucretia Mott. After a 70 year battle, the 19th amendment was finally passed. The 26th amendment relates to this amendment because they both deal with voting. The 19th amendment gave women equal rights (compared to men). Also, it gave women more respect that they deserved.
